Nov. 23-Dec 8: Read and notate "Walden" and 'Civil Disobedience." Create a t-chart with Transcendental element connections for each.
Nov. 20: Read "Self Reliance" and create a t-chart with 5 Transcendental quotes from the text on one side and an elemental connection on the other side (nonconformity, free thought, self reliance, confidence, importance of nature). "Raven" parody poem is due on Monday!)
Nov. 19: Read and analyze "Nature" (pgs 367-368)
Nov. 17-18: Begin reviewing Transcendentalism and choose a song you feel has Transcendental qualities. Write a one paragraph reflection, citing text.
Nov. 12-16 "Analyze and answer questions for "The Raven." Create your own parody poem using Poe's poetic devices. Due on Monday. 11/23.
